Vision

Ensuring the best possible education to the children and families of Santee, today and for the future

Our Vision

We envision a future where all Santee children and families—from every neighborhood and all income levels—have what they need to reach their full potential. Our number one priority is ensuring ECSV has the resources to continue providing the best possible education to our children and families, today and for the future.

WE BELIEVE that ECSV’s work is helping to ensure that every child has the best start to life because WE KNOW that quality early education plays a key role in strengthening our children’s futures.

Our Work

Friends of Educare California at Silicon Valley is strengthening our communities by helping our children access high-quality early education.

ECSV serves over 1,400 children ages 0-5 and their families and caregivers every year. With 90% of a child’s brain developing within the first five years of life, early learning interventions are proven to make a difference, and an especially large one for students experiencing structural racism and poverty.

Strong early education is proven to improve educational and behavioral outcomes. Both mono and multilingual students enter elementary school with enriched vocabularies and continue to perform better throughout school. They are more likely to graduate high school and to attend and graduate from college.

As the field of early learning evolves nationwide–and especially here in California–ECSV has proven they’re ready to grow with it, to best serve our children, families and communities.

Our support of ECSV ensures they can remain innovative and flexible to most effectively meet their students’ educational needs within a changing landscape.

We know that healthy communities mean healthier children, and healthier children mean healthier futures. Alongside high-quality learning, the Educare model offers intensive family engagement to partner with families and high-quality professional development to invest in educators.

Our funds support ECSV in continuing to support families and educators with whatever they most need: from groceries to parenting classes, from educational tools to training in best practices tailored to the needs of Santee children.

WE BELIEVE that all children should have equal access to quality and supportive education no matter their income and WE KNOW the ECSV is creating that access for the Santee community.
